 Policy
This database is a searchable repository of Aircraft Certification Service policy statements. A policy statement gives guidance or acceptable practices on how to find compliance with a specific CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) section or paragraph. These documents are explanatory and not mandated. They are also not project-specific.

You can view the most current policy statements sorted by policy number, CFR part, issue date, AC (Advisory Circular) number, or Order number. Within each view, you can sort many of the columns by clicking on the double arrow () to the right of the column heading.

Note: The Aircraft Certification Service of the FAA maintains the "Aircraft Certification Draft Documents Open for Comment" website on the Internet at http://www.faa.gov/aircraft/draft_docs/. You are invited to comment on proposed Policies provided on the website. We will no longer publish these documents in the RGL or publish an individual Federal Register Notice for each proposed Policy that the FAA makes available for public comment.
